How can I look for a specific Pokémon? For example, I found an Eevee, but it has horrible IVs, so I need to catch another one. But you can't look for specific Pokémon, can you?

In most traditional Pokémon games, you cannot directly search for and find a specific Pokémon that you are looking for, especially one with desired stats or IVs. The process is usually more random and emergent. Some ways players typically try to find a particular Pokémon they want in the main series games include: Encountering Pokémon randomly through exploring different areas and environments. This relies on encountering the right Pokémon by chance. Using Pokémon Radar or other features that increase the odds of encountering a specific species, but still don't guarantee the exact one you want. Breeding Pokémon to try and get offspring with better stats and IVs, though the results are still random. Participating in events or activities that feature a higher chance of encountering rare or specific Pokémon.

How can I make evolution stones more likely to appear? In Eevee's case I've only gotten a Fire Stone once, but that's it. Can I improve my chances somehow?
